Fabry disease

Fabry disease, also known as GLA deficiency, is a rare genetic disease characterized by an absence or reduction in the activity of the enzyme α-galactosidase A, or α-Gal A. Symptoms may include episodes of severe pain in the hands and feet, decreased or absent sweat production, dark spots on the skin, cloudiness or streaks toward the front of the eye and problems with the heart and kidneys.

AllStripes Research is approved and monitored by an independent ethics review board called WIRB (Western Institutional Review Board). WIRB is a group of people who review research studies to protect the rights and welfare of human subjects.
